Results of the 2019 call for Reference Site
On the occasion of the annual conference of the European Partnership for Healthy and Active Aging (EIP-AHA), hosted in Aarhus (Denmark) and carried out in the framework of the Active Assisted Living Program Annual Forum, the results of the call launched in 2019, aimed at obtaining the status of Reference Site, have been announced. 77 European regional and local organizations, including Friuli Venezia Giulia, have obtained for the first time or have received confirmation of this recognition.
The Reference site label is granted to those subjects who have demonstrated that they have adopted transversal and innovative strategies to support the elderly, promoting a constant dialogue with the regional subjects that are involved in the so-called “quadruple helix model” that includes representatives of industry and society civil, academic and governmental authorities at regional and local level.
South Denmark, Andalusia, Catalonia, Basque Country, HANNN (Holland) and Scotland have received special recognition of excellence based on the high level of services provided in their territories.
As part of the AAL Forum events connected to the EIP-AHA, the Italian regions were represented by ProMIS, Programma Mattone Internazionale Salute, within which, a group to coordinate the activities of the Italian Reference Sites was established.
